Get a Response With Perforated Printing from PrintArt

There are so many times that a business or organization would really like to have some customer feedback. It could be because they are considering adding a new product or service to those that they already offer. They could be seeking some feedback about their customer’s opinions of their business. They might be offering coupons and need to send them out with additional information.

Is there a single answer to all of these professional needs? Actually, there is, and it is called perforated printing. With perforated printing services business, organization or individual can create an item that has an easy to remove, or “tear-off” area in which special information can be provided by the customer, or which can contain a coupon or certificate for them to use in a store, business or restaurant.

How is perforated printing done? Many modern printers know that they must meet an amazing range of needs. Not only will they need to do traditional print jobs such as flyers, books, and stationary, but also specialty products like catalogs, calendars, and special mailing pieces. Because of this, many also offer perforation services as well.

The process of creating a perforated print job demands the use of special blades attached to a commercial press or bindery. These blades can be configured to accommodate almost any layout, and a customer can then design their mailer or perforated piece to their own special design.

How can a perforated printing job help my business? Almost any business can benefit from customer feedback. A perforated mailer can be created to include a tear-off card that is printed with mailing information and a pre-paid postage indicator. This mailer might offer a discount to anyone who sends in the attached reply card. This could help a business owner to understand if a product or service will get enough business, and also provide them with an instant mailing list.

Clearly it is easy to get a response with perforated printing available, and many printers are able to provide materials that can easily endure the stresses and rigors of traveling through the postal service.

In the past, perforated printing materials might be handled so roughly that the perforation gives way and allows the card to become torn or even detached, but today such concerns are really a thing of the past. In fact, the appearance of many marketing materials and mailers get a substantial “feel” from the use of the specialty papers and card stocks required for many perforated printing jobs.

Today a majority of marketing campaigns incorporate a customer response or reply card into their design. The perforated mailing pieces can harvest a great deal of information through their tear-away features. This data can really give a business or organization a significant edge over their competition because they will ask the customer or consumer to provide a few minutes of time, and also give them their direct attention. This means that a business using a perforated mailer as part of their marketing will also quickly become a memorable business to those who communicate with them through these innovative mailers.

Hopefully, this has shed a little light on perforated printing companies. It can be a fairly complex process but don’t feel overwhelmed, reach out to PrintArt today, and explain your needs.  Their customer service department will put together a cost-effective quote and help your vision come to reality!

Top Universal Sales Closes

If you are to become proficient in closing the “sale” you will have to become knowledgeable of the many different types of sale closes. First of all, a good salesperson must understand this fact; products and services are sold, not bought and top salespeople always plan their closes in advance. Shooting from the hip is not a practiced art of top salespeople.

Here are two questions that you must be comfortable asking your customers:

  1. Does this make sense to you thus far?
  2. What questions or concerns do you have for me right now?

These two questions without a doubt will get you the furthest in the sales process than any other questions by causing the customer to share what they do or don’t understand. Most objections from a customer are due from the customer not understanding the value they will obtain by possessing the product or service you present them.

The following is a list of proven closes used by some of the top salespeople in the sales profession:

1. Invitation Close: “Mr. or Miss. Customer why don’t you just give us a trial run to see if our products or services are to your liking. You have nothing to lose but being a satisfied customer.”

2. Preference Close: Give the customer several choices between prices and/or products. No one likes to be pushed into a corner. By offering choices to the customer it gives the customer the illusion that they are in control of the transaction. Always know that the person who is asking the most questions is in control of the conversation. So, ask away!

3. Secondary Close: You will want to keep the customer’s mind on your products or services and bring up as many reasons why the customer may find value in owning or using the products and services you have to offer. In many cases, a customer’s attention may wander. If this does happen to you, it is imperative that you get the customer concentrating back on the subject at hand.

4. Directive Close: Let the customer know what the next step is; (the plan of action) then guarantee the customer that you will take care of all the details personally, concerning the product or service red tape immediately! Most customers want to rest assured that the salesperson is competent and in control.

5. Shape Angle Close: “Mr. or Miss. Customer, if we can satisfy all of your concerns regarding our products or services, what would stop you from doing business with us right now”?

6. Authorization Close: “With your authorization here on this agreement” We can get started right away providing you with the products or services we spoke of this evening.” People want things taken care of right away. People also want to know the value in what they are about to own or purchase.

7. I Want To Think It Over Close: “That’s a good idea that you do so.” “I know this is a very important decision you are about to make.” “Obviously you have a good reason for wanting to think it over?” “May I ask what that reason maybe?”

8. Assuring Your Customer Close: “When working with our organization you will receive extraordinary service!” “The quality of our products and services are the top in the industry!” “Our organization makes our products and services convenient for our customers!” “You will know the true value and the significance of owning our products or services once you see how they work or function!”

There are several keys to being successful in selling. You will want to get serious and decide to follow through with your commitment to be the best at our craft. Next, you will want to identify your prominent skills, so you can become a successful salesperson. You will then want to surround yourself with the best of the best, so you can ultimately become the best.

Taking care of your physical health is very important also. Your health has a lot to do with your demeanor and confidence. Your attitude controls your altitude. So, stay healthy and strive to be the best in all you do. You will want to have a positive visualization of greatness. You will want to see yourself as the very best in your field. You are what you think about all the time. The way you visualize yourself will be the person you will become.

Be careful how you talk to yourself. Talk to yourself positively. You will want to control your inner dialog. Never forget! Positive input = positive output! Garbage in, garbage stays! Never lose sight that the quality of your life will be determined by the depth of your commitment to excellence more than any other factor.

Brick Sample Boards – The Guide To Buying Bricks

Bricks have been included in the making of buildings since time immemorial. Their use has been perpetuated due to their durability, evidenced by a number of ancient buildings that were made using bricks and have remained standing.

Due to their proven strength, they are used for much more than building houses and offices nowadays. Sidewalks, pavements, fireplaces, and many other construction projects are made using bricks. As a result, there are different types of bricks for different purposes. If you are in the construction business you need to know the differences in order to know how to buy bricks for whatever purpose. Viewing all the brinks that you are interested in on brick sample boards helps you quickly browse the different types of products.  You can use the following mini-guide for buying bricks to help you.

STEP 1 – Find out what types of bricks you need: The two main types of bricks are paving and building bricks. Paving bricks are those that are used to build driveways, patios, the area around a pool, etc. Most brick sample boards will give a description of the material and style. In short, they are the ones that will be placed on the ground and walked/driven on. Building bricks, on the other hand, are used for walls and fences (upstanding structures).

STEP 2 – Determine the number of bricks needed: You will have to first measure the area in order to determine the number of bricks required for your project. A general rule is to use 5 to 7 bricks per square foot depending on whether its for paving or for a wall. The actual amount will vary depending on what the size of the brick used is as well as the pattern and the thickness of each mortar space.

STEP 3 – Source high-quality bricks: Check around local hardware stores that sell bricks to compare costs before making a final choice. When doing so, factor in delivery costs.

STEP 4 – Select the right kind of mortar/grout: Not all mortar mixes are suitable for the type of brick that you plan to use. Confirm the type with the hardware dealer you are buying the bricks from.

STEP 5 – Buy more than enough bricks to cover the project: Having to go back for additional bricks to complete a project or to make minor repairs could mean that the colors do not match even though they are the same bricks.

STEP 6 – Start building: Knowing how to buy bricks will help you get the right kind for the job and be able to get your project off the ground promptly, once the other necessities are in place.

Finding a Great Commercial Printer Can Make a Big Difference in Your Business

Most businesses use a commercial printer to run off letterhead and mailings, allowing the quality of the results to vary widely depending upon how much time they have to pay attention to it. A run to a chain-owned local print shop that does bulk work is enough for them and they’ve learned over the years to simply make do with the results.

However, a few companies are savvier and have learned the advantage of finding a top-notch print house that can provide them with everything from branding to competitively priced offset printing runs, lowering their costs and supporting their business goals. High-end printers that deal with bulk orders and corporate accounts are a fantastic resource for design assistance as well as options for your print run that you might not even know about let alone consider using.

Design assistance is a strong reason for using a well run print house. If for any reason your graphics are not print ready then professional printers will assist you in bringing them up to speed as well as making sure your graphics person understands the requirements for print runs (which are considerably different from web graphic requirements).

Branding choices and color accuracy issues are all great areas of discussion to bring up with a commercial printer as most of them have several excellent visual designers on staff for the original work required by many companies. Some commercial printing houses actually have graphic designers on staff that can create your project from staff. This is becoming fairly common now as one-stop houses are providing everything from design to end product in one place.

Surprisingly, using a larger, busier print house like PrintArt, usually means the cost is lower for your projects. The more business a printer has the less overhead costs each project has to absorb. A smaller house will have to incorporate rent, insurance, utilities, etc. into a smaller number of clients while a larger one can spread those bills over a higher number of clients. Next time you have a project that needs a printer, check out the high-end print houses in your state, and see if there are options that you may not be aware of. Having a great commercial printer on your team can make the difference in both the quality of your results as well as the ease in achieving them.

Hopefully, this has shed a little light on finding a great commercial printer. It can be a fairly complex process but don’t feel overwhelmed, reach out to PrintArt today and explain what you need.  Their customer service department will put together a cost-effective quote and help your vision come to reality!

High Definition Full Color Offset Printing Is Here – Sharper, Brighter, Smoother, More Colors

It’s all about the screens. Well, who cares about screens? If you buy offset color printing services you should know the differences between the 2 different screen technologies used in commercial printing. It affects the quality of all your color printing. You may know some of this stuff, but most people who buy printing don’t know what you will learn in this article. This is a little technical but stick with it because you may want to make some changes in the way your printing is printed. So let’s get started.

Here is how it works. Your files go to pre-press where they are reviewed for technical errors before being made into screens for printing; it is the first step in the process. Customer files then go to a plate maker to be processed and then transferred (offset) to 4 different metal plates, one each of cyan, magenta, yellow and black. Each plate transfers the ink to a rubber blanket and the blanket offsets the ink onto the paper.

Most commercial printers use conventional AM (amplitude modulated) line screens, that are dots arranged in a rosette pattern to makes images. That means each screen plate has to align perfectly at very high-speeds of rotations of the press cylinder to keep registration sharp. A typical press run speed alignment of the plates can be unstable. The way it works is some dots are large and some dots are small depending on their tonal value. The bigger the dots the more ink they pick-up.

The most commonly used line screen dots are from 150 to 300 dots per inch depending on the screens used by the printing firm. Printing companies choose a type of screen and use it for all their printing, so you can’t ask your printer to use high dot line screens. A problem is conventional screens use a lot of ink that pools together. The detail is reduced caused by flooding the paper with too much ink. The color gamut is the range of colors that can be printed. Too much ink inhibits subtle colors and tones are lost because the color gamut is reduced. Subtle colors cannot be printed and moiré patterns can occur in textures and patterns. Another issue is banding in color gradations because it is difficult to print smooth transitions of color tones with AM screens.

The other screening method is known as FM (frequency modulated) stochastic (stuh-kas-tic) screens. There are different brands and they all have their own unique proprietary variations. These types of screens are different because FM screens are made with tiny specks similar to grain in photographs. As an example, I will discuss Kodak Staccato brand screens, which I am most familiar with.

FM screens use 20-micron irregular specs to print color. 1 micron equals 0.000093701 of an inch or 1,000,000 to one yard. A 20-micron screen prints 1,270 specs per inch. These tiny microscopic specks are ideal for printing high-definition details in photography, artwork, type, and smooth color gradations.

Stochastic screens offer many advantages over conventional screens. They improve detail and definition, reversed text prints cleaner. They improve shadow and highlight detail, also a larger color gamut so more colors can be printed using conventional line screens. FM screens eliminate unwanted screen angle moiré, subject moiré, and rosettes. The result is photographic like continuous tone appearance with more color stability during the press run. When tonal and color instability occurs using stochastic screens and off-register occurs sharpness and quality are not affected. These are just some of the benefits FM screens.

Hopefully, this has shed a little light on High Definition printing. It can be a fairly complex process but don’t feel overwhelmed, reach out to PrintArt today and explain what you need.  Their customer service department will put together a cost-effective quote and help your vision come to reality!.

Printing Services Then and Now

Printing is not something that has been evolved decades ago but many hundreds of years ago. Of course, they were widely varied from the commercial printing services that are being offered now. But thanks to that first step that was taken by Johannes Gutenberg back in 1440, today man is able to print almost 60 trillion pages annually across the globe. This is because the commercial printers available now are more efficient in producing a higher print quality as well as a number of pages that they can produce.

Even before the Gutenberg’s printing press, records show that there existed some other forms of printing across different parts of the world. However, Gutenberg’s was the first of the movable type. History reveals that his machine utilized metal pieces and type mold. This first movable type press with page setting proved to be much faster and durable. Because the lettering was produced by metal (usually lead) pieces instead of wood like in the old times, the letters in the text became more uniform and the image sharper. The different letter pieces also enabled the printer to produce varied topography as well as fonts.

Strange as it is, it has taken hundreds of years for the press to develop into the commercial printers that they are today. After the Gutenberg’s machine, the press was later modified into the rotary press made by Richard March Hoe back in 1843. This was the first machine that used a cylindrical forum with impressions for printing text. This kind of machine proved to be even more efficient than the earlier kind as it was able to print long continuous rolls of paper.

The commercial printing services of the modern times now utilize heavy-duty commercial printers. The commercial printers that are in use today exist in a wide variety to accomplish the different tasks thrown at them. Printers are not only used to produce newspapers and magazines but also to create advertising material such as brochures, flyers, banners, billboards, and even digital art. All these kinds of commercial printing services have been made a possibility through the invention and then the fast evolution of the computer.

Anything and everything imaginable can be easily printed by combining modern commercial printing services and the creative heads that operate such businesses. The latest technologies have helped turn the world around but mostly it has enabled the production of faster and more efficient machines.

Your Product is Not What You Sell

It is a common misconception among salespeople and businesses that what they sell is their product. Once you understand this is not correct and can see what your product truly is, you will be on a rocket ride to greater profits, happier customers, and a new outlook towards sales.

In a recent survey, numerous salespeople were asked directly what their product was and 96% of them stated that what they sold was their product. Let’s use a simple example to see why this not the case and can change the way you conduct business.

We will look at Mercedes Benz automobiles for ease of simplicity in our example. Salesman Joe is a proud salesman for Mercedes Benz Anytown and he has been an average salesperson for several years making a moderate income. When asked, “What is your product, Joe?” He responded, “The finest Mercedes Benz automobiles that are produced with the highest standards for quality, precision, and craftsmanship.” Joe stood proud as if he nailed a perfect 10 on the floor exercise in the Olympics. He was beaming with confidence and he felt like his response was perfect and impenetrable. As the questioner stood silently for several seconds, Joe the salesperson began to look for holes in his response. Then Joe was asked one simple question that began his transition from mediocrity to sales superstar.

The question was this: “Joe, is that your product or Mercedes Benz’ product?” Joe scratched his slightly balding head and began to search for an answer. He brought forth this response, “I guess it is Mercedes Benz product!” It produced an incredible “Oh my Word” moment for Joe.

He next began to wonder what his product really is and we began to brainstorm to see what his product is as a salesperson of Mercedes Benz high-quality automobiles.

As the person who asked the powerful question, I took Joe aside and sat down with my trusty dictionary and looked up the word “product”. We narrowed it down to “the desired result, to create anything having exchange value”.

Now we were moving forward with blazing speed. I next asked Joe the following questions to pull the correct response from him.

  • “Who will receive the Mercedes Benz Joe?”
  • “Do you want them to be happy?
  • “Do you want them to pay full price?”
  • “Do you want them driving a Mercedes home today?”
  • “Would you want them to send you referrals?”
  • “Would you want them to buy it again?”

Joe thought for a moment and he came up with some ideas and with a little guidance and support we came up with this as what his product REALLY is;

“A SATISFIED CUSTOMER WHO HAS PAID FOR AND RECEIVED A MERCEDES FROM ME AND WILL REFER FUTURE PROSPECTS”

Joe’s mindset started to shift immediately. He realized his product was a satisfied customer who purchased what he sold and is so happy they will return to buy more and will refer others to him. From that day forward, Joe reminded himself before he greeted a prospect what his product really is and he closed more deals for more gross profit than anyone in his dealership for the next six months. In fact, he went on to be promoted to sales manager and he credits this one small change to his approach as the factor that led to his success.

My question to you is what is your product? How can you profit from this simple change of viewpoint to grow your sales and grow your business to new heights? Your product is NOT what you sell; it is what you produce as a result of your efforts.

Have a great selling day.

Packaging Your New Products to Sell

You have spent time and money developing your product. A patent has been filed. You have committed financial resources, more than expected, to make your great idea come to life. You have produced a small quantity and now you are ready to take your idea to market. You approach distributors or retailers and they love your product.

Then you get your first order and the realization comes about. How am I going to get my great product to my new customer? How will it be packaged? A customer wants to order a case of your product, how many are in a case? How will my product tell its story on the retail shelf?

These packaging problems and many other surfaces when you finally get your product to market. And in many cases, the packaging costs are the last thing a new product developer thinks of, plus many times the cost is not even in the projected cost.

Now comes the panic…

How do I package my new product for as little as possible? When in reality packaging can be the most important part of your new product. One of my current customers makes replacement transmission kits. One kit design – a standard brown retail box with a small label describing what transmissions it replaces. The other package has a four-color laminated graphic custom box that has all the information about how to install, kit parts, and what transmission it replaces. The interesting thing is although both kits have the exact same components, the kit with the four-color litho-laminated graphic packaging sells for more than the other generic transmission kit and it outsells the plain brown box almost two to one. This is why the old adage “packaging sells” is really true.

For new retail products to sell, a story about the new product must normally be told. In a retail atmosphere, the printed packaging or custom box tells that story. Custom retail packaging has graphics printed on the box, but the design of the package is also important. Maybe your product needs a custom packaging design, a windowed box, or a certain box style will allow for more information to be presented to the prospective buyer.

Now that your product has retail packaging that promotes the product, you have to get it to the retailer safely and in quantities that make sense to you financially and to your customer. Shipping boxes can be made in almost any size and style. Many times you can find a stock shipping box, that will be the right size, from online stock packaging companies, but other times, it requires a custom made shipping box, also called a custom corrugated carton. Package designers are not just for retail packaging, but also for protective packaging.

Some products will require protective packaging along with the shipping cartons. Box Style, corrugated board strength, and the correct cushioning all play a part in safely transporting your product to its destination. A good rule of thumb is a 2″ barrier of protection between your products for protection if they are fragile in nature. Anything from crumpled newspaper and loose-fill peanuts to custom foam packaging can help protect your product during shipment. If you are unsure contact a packaging professional.

Remember, a good retail graphical package design and the properly packed shipping box will help make your products get to market safely and then move off the shelves.

It can be a fairly complex process but don’t feel overwhelmed, reach out to PrintArt today and explain what you need.  Their customer service department will put together a cost-effective quote and help your vision come to reality!.

Tips When Ordering Custom Boxes For Your Promotional Marketing Needs

Many companies order custom boxes to house information and announcements about new products, to package software, CD/DVD’s and other electronic media, or to have an option over brochures, pocket folders, and binders. This article will help you understand your vast options when requesting custom boxes.

  • Corrugated
  • Plastic
  • Turned Edge
  • Setup Boxes
  • Aluminum
  • SBS
  • Wooden

These are just some of the typical types of boxes.

Most people are familiar with shipping cartons made out of thick brown (or kraft) C-flute corrugated board. Inspecting a side cut of C-flute corrugated, you notice it is very wide and thick; good for shipping things but not good for accepting the kind of graphics required to market a product.

E-flute corrugation is only 1/16″ thick, much thinner than the C-flute mentioned above. On some requirements, F-flute or B-flute corrugated may be used. F-flute is very thin (even thinner than E-flute) and is used for very small boxes or boxes that require intricate die-cutting. Surprisingly, B-flute is thinner than C-flute but thicker than E-flute. B-flute is about 1/8th” thick and is used for heavier weight projects.

The corrugated board is usually stocked by the mill and is defined by colors. Brown, Oyster White, White. White is the most expensive board and most sought after for graphic usage. Combinations are available, by special order. Oyster over Kraft or Bleached over Kraft is common. Normally the wavy part of the corrugated board is Kraft.

Decoration of Corrugated

Litho lam: Many customers prefer their corrugated boxes to have the graphics printed on 80# litho paper, which can be filmed, laminated, and mounted to the corrugated. (we call this labeling). Film lamination seals the printing and enables the box hinges to be bent without cracking. The label is attached to the corrugated board before die-cutting. The film lamination can be either glossy or matte (also called de-lustered). A label can be applied to the outside or the inside of the box (also called the liner) or both. The label usually covers the entire box.

Flexo printing: Imagine a big rubber stamp and you now have a good idea of flexo printing. If complex 4 color process graphics is not required then flexo printing may be an alternative to consider. Because flexo printing is not sophisticated, you can only expect the quality of a 65 line screen. This differs dramatically from the 150 line screen quality common in litho printing (labeling). The most cost-efficient type of flexo printing is a flood coat (overall coverage) of a color. Stock printing plates can be used to put the color on the board. However, if graphics or type is required to be reversed out of the solid field or you want to have positive type or graphics, a custom printing plate will have to be made. Flexo plates are priced per square inch. The more graphics or type, the more expensive.

Silkscreen:

For quantities too low to create expensive flexo plates, silk screening can be a cost-effective alternative. Modern technology has made silk-screening almost as clear and sharp as offset printing. We start with your artwork either on a computer disk or good black and white copy. A film positive is made from the art and mounted on to a screen that has been coated with an emulsion. The screen and artwork (on a film positive) are exposed to light for a few minutes. The black of the artwork blocks the emulsion from hardening. The film positive is removed from the screen and the screen is washed with a high-speed water spray. The emulsion where the artwork was is washed away leaving a stencil of the artwork on the screen. The screen is mounted to a press and a squeegee pushes special paints through the screen onto the material for your box.

Silkscreen paints are hand mixed to come as close as possible to a specified color but it is not an exact science. We silkscreen on many different color materials and a hand-mixed Pantone color match will look different when put on colors other than white.

Turned Edge boxes and set up boxes:

Whereas corrugated boxes have “raw edges” where you can see the corrugation, turned edge differ because the board is covered by the wrap. Instead of using a corrugated board, we use different weights of chipboard. In small quantities, these boxes are made by hand. In larger quantities, box making machines are used. Turned edge boxes tend to cost more than corrugated boxes but they have a more finished look. Because chipboard is used, these boxes tend to weigh more than the equivalent corrugated box. Set up boxes are in the category of turned edge boxes. These boxes are commonly referred to as gift boxes and jewelry boxes. Both turned edge and set up boxes can be wrapped in a variety of coverings, film laminated printed paper, linen cloths, fancy paper stocks.

Plastic boxes:

Plastic boxes generally are available in either injection molded plastics or die-cut sheet plastics. Injection-molded boxes tend not to be used for custom purposes as tooling to make custom sizes and shapes are expensive and they are difficult to decorate. Most of our discussion will be on converting sheets of plastic into boxes.

The most common sheet plastics used are polyethylene and polypropylene. Both of these materials can be constructed to form boxes with tuck tabs or can be sonic welded. Sonic welded boxes ship to the customer already assembled. Tuck tab boxes can be shipped flat and assembled by the customer. Both materials come in a variety of thicknesses’ starting at 16 gauge and going up to as high as 75 gauge. The most popular thickness’ are 35 and 55 gauge for polyethylene and 30 gauge and 55 gauge for polypropylene. Polyethylene has been around longer than polypropylene and comes in a wide variety of stock colors and natural (milky clear). Polypropylene is sometimes preferred by customers seeking clear boxes because it can be made crystal clear. Polypropylene tends to be more expensive than polyethylene and has a greater tendency to show scratches and marks with use. For this reason, polypropylene is made on one or both sides with a matte finish or lines to hide the scratches. Clear polypropylene can also come with color tints.

As boxes made of plastic begin as flat sheets they are relatively easy to decorate.

Decoration of plastic:

Silk screening is the most popular technique used in polyethylene and polypropylene. Both these materials have very flat, nonporous surfaces, ideal for silk screening. With modern screening methods, a wide variety of halftones graduated screens and process printing can be accomplished at a reasonable price. Small to moderate quantities of product with complex printing, lend itself to silk screening. See details of the silk screening above.

Litho (offset) printing can be accomplished on lighter gauges of material in larger quantities. In this case, you would ideally begin with a white substrate. Quality can be as good as on coated paper stock.

Hot Stamp:

This is the transfer of color (usually metallic silver or gold) mounted to a roll of plastic on to the poly by use of a heated metallic die. The metal die is made from your artwork and is mounted to a stamping press. The colored foil on the roll is transferred to the material in the shape of your art on the die. For pricing advise the number of square inches of the leaf to be used. Multiply the width by height of the imprint area for the square inches of the leaf. Frequently you may wish to combine several methods of decoration, such as silk screening and stamping.

Aluminum boxes: A relatively new option are boxes made out of Aluminum or a combination of Aluminum and Acrylic panels. Boxes can be constructed in a tote box style, two-piece set up box style, or as CD/DVD boxes. Many customers opt for silk screen decoration on their boxes but more exciting options such as laser etching, anodizing, and powder coating are also available.

SBS or paper boxes:

Paper boxes options could fill a manual by themselves. Sales Packaging has produced many options for customers. Most frequently, we take 20 to 24 point SBS (single bleached sulfite) whiteboard, litho print, and film lam before die cutting into a variety of products. Popular items are VHS sleeves and boxes, totes, product sample boxes, CD, and marketing mailers to name a few options.

Wood boxes:

When a certain elegance is required, wood boxes fit the bill. From highly lacquered cigar type boxes to natural finished wood boxes.

Hopefully, this has shed a little light on custom boxes for promotional marketing. It can be a fairly complex process but don’t feel overwhelmed, reach out to PrintArt today and explain what you need.  Their customer service department will put together a cost-effective quote and help your vision come to reality!.

Make Your Company Feel Different With Die-Cut Marketing Materials

Are you tired of typical printing methods and want a way to make your company’s advertising feel different to the customer? One way to accomplish this goal is with die-cut marketing materials. Instead of being square, you can have your marketing materials come in any form you like.

The Die-Cut Process

Die-cutting is a form of cutting using sharp steel forms. It can be done to labels, boxes, containers, printed sheets, and more. It can be done on a flatbed press or on a rotary press at the same time that your printing is done.

Die-cut printing is a cost-effective and fast way to get the look of a cut product without having to hire someone to spend all day cutting by hand. A special cutting blade is molded into the desired shape, known as a die, and is then used to cut through the material. Often, multiple sheets are cut at once to speed up the process. The steel blade leaves a clean, sharp edge that has a professional look to it.

Stickers

Stickers are a great marketing tool. They can be stuck almost anywhere, and they are a fun freebie to hand out to the masses. Choosing to go with a die-cut sticker means that you have nearly unlimited potential for making your stickers pop. Stickers can be cut into any shape, allowing you to create a cool, custom look that people will want to keep. Die-cut stickers can be used for bumper stickers, outdoor stickers, or simply colorful pieces of artwork to stick on notebooks, coffee mugs, scrapbooks, and more.

Die-cut Flyers

If you have ever watched someone handing out flyers on the street or sticking them in people’s doors, you probably have also noticed how many of them head straight into the garbage can without a moment’s notice. Why is that? They all look the same – boring, photocopied, and obviously an advertisement. The idea with die-cut flyers is that you want them to stick out from the rest. Not only will the thicker paper give your flyer a professional feel, but a fun shape will help it to stick out from all the normal, rectangular flyers that get stuck indoors are on a daily basis.

Business Cards

Everyone knows what a business card looks like – small, rectangular, and often white with some form of printing on it. Imagine how they would react if your business card was a different shape. You could do something as simple as rounding the edges to give it a softer look, or something as extreme as choosing an entirely different shape. Whatever you choose, going with a die-cut business card practically guarantees that the person you give it to will give it a second look. And if it gets thrown in a drawer with all the other business cards, it also means that your card will stand out from all the rest.

Remember, you only get one chance to make a first impression with a client, so you want to make sure that your marketing materials stand out and feel different.
